Meet our Trustees

Our 12 trustees come from a wide range of backgrounds and provide a wealth of experience to the Foundation.

Scott Etzler

Trustee

Scott Etzler is a Corporate Director for Vancrest Management Corp and has spent 31 years in the workforce serving in a management position.  He is also an Adjunct Professor for Indiana Tech teaching undergraduate and graduate courses for the past 29 years.  
Scott and his wife Sandy are lifetime residents in the community and both are graduates from Crestview High School.  Their children Lydia Schneider (Cory) and Cameron Etzler (Laken) also graduated from Crestview.  They have been blessed with two granddaughters and one grandson.
Scott and Sandy attend LifeHouse Church and serve in the youth ministry.

Marcia Germann

Trustee

Marcia Germann is a life-long resident and investor in Van Wert County. She and her husband, Doug, have three sons who have graduated from Crestview Schools. She is the second-generation owner and President of Century Trading Company, Inc.  For more than 55 years, Century Trading has been a vibrant contributor to Van Wert County’s agricultural and business community. Marcia is passionate about continuing to create cultural and community opportunities for the next generation of Van Wert County residents. She greatly enjoys serving the community through the Convoy Community Foundation. 

Kristi Gamble

Trustee

Kristi Gamble is married to Jamie and they have 2 daughters, Jessica (Matt Holden) & Kallie (Sloan Whitaker). She has been a Convoy Community Foundation Board Trustee since 2010.  She is also an active member of Ohio City Community Church of God and Convoy Community Days Committee and is an active volunteer in her community. Kristi has worked Bee Gee Realty & Auction Co. since 1996.  Her interests are camping with her family and friends, painting and crafts.

Denise Frey

Trustee

Denise Frey has been a Convoy Community Foundation Board Trustee since 1998 and is the current Treasurer for the Foundation.

She is a life long resident of our community.  Denise and her husband Steve have 6 children, all Crestview graduates.  Denise is now retired after 43 years in the banking industry.

Carl Etzler

Trustee

Carl Etzler is a Financial Advisor with Thrivent.  He has 20 years of Experience and has recently been elected into the Thrivent Hall of Fame.  Because of his expertise in wealth transfer and legacy planning, Carl has walked alongside clients and their families to create financial strategies the help provide clarity and maximize generosity for generations to come.  Carl is also the head softball coach for the Crestview Lady Knights.

Jean Leary

Trustee

Jeanine Leary grew up in the Wren area and graduated from Crestview High School.  She moved to Cincinnati after attending college at the University of Findlay and Bowling Green State University but returned to the area with her family. Her four children graduated from Crestview as well.  Currently, Jean is an analyst with Lincoln Financial Group.  Jean and her husband, Jeff, still reside in the Wren area with their dogs, Pepper and Charlie. They attend the Convoy United Methodist Church and also own The Three-Thirteen Company home goods store in Willshire. She has a heart for helping others within her community.

Shaun Putman

Trustee

Shaun Putman is a 1995 graduate of Van Wert High School, a 1999 graduate of Miami University, and a 2001 graduate of the University of Dayton School of Law.  Since that time, Shaun has practiced law in Van Wert.  In 2014, he opened his own firm and continues to practice at Putman Law Offices, LLC.  He is married to Shawna Putman, a 1997 Crestview graduate, and they have been blessed with four great kids:  Brynn (a 2022 Crestview graduate), Kellin, Liam and Beckam.  Shaun is active on a number of local Boards of Trustees, coaches various sports, and is an active member of Calvary Evangelical Church.  In his free time, Shaun enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and watching/reading anything to do with history or sports.

Emily Rollins

Trustee

Emily Rollins, a 2016 graduate of Crestview and 2020 Graduate of Indiana University, resides between Convoy and Wren with her husband John. Together they own Rollins Farms, Rollins Farms Trucking, and are involved with real estate. Emily left the corporate workforce when she received her BSBA in Finance, and now works full time on her family’s farm, Marcarl Farms. As a proud 5th generation farmer, she works alongside her brother, father, and grandfather. She is an active volunteer in her community and member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She is the 8th Grade Girls’ Basketball coach at Crestview and her interests include traveling with her husband, and spending time with her nieces and nephews. 

Bob Schumm

Trustee

Bob Schumm has been a trustee for the Convoy Community Foundation since 2001  Bob married Carolyn Wambsganss, who passed away in 2021.  Together they had a son, Troy who married Jodi and a daughter, Karen who married Matt Ringwald.  Grandsons include Logan, Brock and Gavin and a granddaughter, Madison.  Bob was formerly employed at Aeroquip, Dana and Defiance Precision in Engineering and many management roles.  He was also involved in the family farming operations.  His interests are focused on his children, grandchildren and their activities.  He also enjoys operating his layout of Lionel trains.  Bob attends Redeemer Lutheran Church and his Christian faith remains a vital part of his life.

Gary Weck

Trustee

Gary Weck and wife, Barbara live in Willshire township in Crestview school district. They have four grown children, ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Gary has served in the past on the Van Wert County school board, Vantage Career Center school board, Van Wert Co. Soil and Water board and State District One of Ohio board. He also served on the Van Wert Co. Farm Bureau board and is a Farm Bureau member.

Gary has been a trustee on the Convoy Community Foundation since 2004. Gary is still involved in the family farming business.
